Job Description:

This company is a fast growing facilities management company, growing by contract wins and acquisition. This company has a turnover in excess of £2,000m and employ over 36,000 people. They are seeking a HR Manager to join the sales team to provide HR expertise as part of the sales and acquisition process.

This role is a rare client facing opportunity for a HR professional, and as part of the team that wins business you should be extremely commercial with strong communication skills both written and verbal.

The role will deal with TUPE in and out as well as acquisitions and experience of some or all of these processes would be required. The main activity of the role is as follows:

• Provides input into bids and flags up the HR implications of potential new business.

• Ensuring that due diligence and financial assumptions, which have HR implications on bids and acquisitions/ disposals, reflect Group HR position and takes ownership of flagging risks/gaps as appropriate.

• Represents the company to clients and collaborates closely with clients on HR / TUPE planning.

• Develops and agrees HR project plan for bid / acquisition including resource plan and timetable for due diligence.

• Mitigates any employee relations issues resulting from transfer or acquisition including appropriate Union or Forum consultation

• Implements the consultation and communications plan for bid activity including ensuring that employees and representatives are properly and legally consulted on any changes and receive appropriate information through roadshows, presentations etc.

Skills and Experience

• Background in HR operations with 3+ years of HR Management experience, preferably gained within a commercial environment including experience of TUPE consultation activity

• Experience of handling complex HR issues including significant change management relating to people, including restructuring, redundancies, site closures, relocations and ideally, off-shoring

• Employee relations experience, handling of union relationships and employee forum relationships

• Experience of project management, and of developing project plans using appropriate methodologies, with an ability to prioritise and make decisions.

• Part of this role is to travel on a frequent and flexible basis including overnight stays to meet client demand.
